Mrs Flaherty, the Chair of Friends of Webber Independent School (FOWIS) parents association, threw down a creative challenge to all students this month to design a new logo for FOWIS which will be used on FOWIS communications, T shirts, banners etc.
Working with Mrs Anacootee in the Art Department and the Junior School Team we set the challenge as an Extension Task for Home Learning for Reception to Year 10 students.
The competition created a fantastic response with so many creative, thoughtful and beautifully illustrated images and designs.
Congratulations to the overall winner Esther in Year 9 who received a 30 pound Amazon voucher and goody bag. Her wonderful image of a 'tree and a child' in Webber purple and accent pink was simple, eye catching, fun and effective. It also echoed the School logo with the child at the centre of all we do at Webber.
Year Group Winners received a 10 pound Amazon voucher and a goodie bag.
All students who entered the competition were awarded 5 House Points for their House as well as some sweet treats!
The winning entries will be displayed in the Gallery.
Year 3 Massimo, Year 5 Krish, Year 6 Ruth, Year 7 Jai, Year 8 Lucy P, Year 9 Esther, Year 10 Jessica
Well done and congratulations to Esther and all the students who entered the competition. We are delighted with the fresh new design!
