Post 16 Pathways & Career Support

Taking the Next Steps with a Helping Hand

It can be an exciting yet nerve-racking time when it comes to taking those all-important next steps.

The Webber Independent School will help ease the transition from secondary education to further education or career pathways (such as apprenticeships) by taking away the fear factor with the right guidance. Our support has seen our past students secure top career apprenticeships with leading global employers and transition smoothly to  Sixth Form settings or colleges.

In the last four years, all of our Year 11 students have received multiple sixth-form and post-16 destination offers and the vast majority have accepted their first choice.

When you choose The Webber Independent School for your child, you are choosing educators that will be by your side providing support and personalised guidance, helping your child to achieve their goals.

Our Work Related Learning Specialist Team is here to help your child stand out from the crowd; supporting with interview practice, work experience and, career pathway guidance, Headmistress’ Letters of Recommendation.

Our focus is on allowing our senior school students to access leading resources to help them build their skills and knowledge around the types of careers and further study options that are available. In the past our students have benefited from our career fairs, work experience, internships, and Ed Talks in partnership with both local and global employers; Santander, Network Rail, Red Bull Racing, NHS, Jaguar Land Rover, and others.

Our very experienced Work Related Learning Team has built relationships with top employers as well as leading Sixth Forms and Colleges. Our specialists will support you through your child through their post-16 education, ensuring that they make informed choices and consider all post-16 pathways to success.

We provide a learning environment that prepares your child for life after Webber. We do this by introducing them to independent learning and equipping our students with the right mindset, resilience, and skills that are highly in demand by educators and employers.
