This summer term our Year 11’s have been busy organising some fundraising activities to raise money for charities Brave The Shave and Little Lives as well as their Prom at the end of the academic year.
A portion of the money raised will be going to Macmillan Cancer Support, after our very own Eva de Gorter braved the shave earlier this year and raised over £2,400 for the charity! We will also be donating to The Little Lives Charity for the neonatal department at The Milton Keynes Hospital.
Last Friday we had a non-school uniform day where pupils were invited to ditch the uniforms and wear their own clothes for a small donation of £2. Pupils also had the chance to win a cute and cuddly bear, just by guessing its name!
The remainder of the Summer term will involve lots of other fundraising activities organised by our Year 11’s.
On Tuesday 8th June pupils will get a rare opportunity to throw wet sponges at our current Year 11’s, including Head Boy - Milo de Gorter. It will be open to every year group as we will follow social distancing measures and hand sanitise in between turns.
3 sponges = £1 (Money can be brought in on the day)
On Wednesday 16th June pupils can get their hands on an original glazed Krispy Kreme Doughnut at our doughnut sale! Each Doughnut will cost £2 and it is available to all year groups. (Prepaid/ order only)
There will also be a jewellery sale of beautiful butterfly and gummy bear necklaces and bracelets made by our very talented Year 11's. (Prepaid/ order only)
We hope to see lots of our pupils get involved with the upcoming activities and help raise some money for our two nominated charities!
