Students at the Webber Independent School have been busy making a BIG difference to Little Lives!
The Stantonbury Fields based school have been supporting Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, and the Hospital’s neonatal unit since 2013, and thanks to organising activities ranging from a beat the goalie competition to a Christmas raffle and summer ball, have raised £1,500 during this time.
Each year around 430 babies are admitted onto the unit, which cares for babies born too early, too small or very ill.
Lead Nurse on the neonatal unit, Karen Rice, said: “It is really lovely to have the continued support from The Webber Independent School. Their donations have contributed to some really special bits of equipment and one of their students also designed our entrance doors, which offers a warm welcome to anyone visiting us.”
Viktoria Molnar-Smith who is a teacher at The Webber Independent School, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Little Lives and take real pride in knowing that we are able to make a difference to the babies who are looked after on the neonatal unit, as well as their families.”
Jenny Howells, Community and Events Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, added: “I love working with The Webber Independent School, their students are inspirational and we are so grateful to them for their ongoing support.”
