We are thrilled to announce that The Webber Independent School has received a double nomination and has been shortlisted for the Independent Schools of the Year Award for our Outstanding Response to Covid-19.
The double nomination is a testament to the passion, hard work and dedication of each and every one of our staff members as well as the tremendous support we received from our pupils and parents to ensure we provided the best possible learning experience throughout the three Covid-19 Lockdowns!
Having entered the category independently The Webber was also nominated by our parent group Bellevue Education!
The Awards, in association with Independent School Parent magazine, aim to highlight the excellence of the student experience in independent schools.
Headmistress Hilary Marsden:
‘We are thrilled to have received not one, but two nominations for the Outstanding Response to Covid-19 Award and to be shortlisted from the hundreds of Independent Schools who entered is a real honour! We are immensely proud of the provision we have been able to offer our pupils, parents and staff during this challenging year, as well as the resilience and flexibility our school have shown in responding to these changes. We are focused now on getting back to better, enjoying the Summer break and excited for the new academic year ahead!"
The finalists in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards will be revealed on 7 September, and judges will then meet again to reach a decision on the winner of each category. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in October, which, it is hoped, will take the form of a physical event.
As always we would like to thank all our pupils, parents and staff for your ongoing support, Webber wouldn't be the fantastic place that it is without you.
