On Thursday 30th September Year 11 GCSE students went on their compulsory Human Geography Field Trip to explore quality of life in Milton Keynes.
We visited 4 contrasting areas, Neath Hill, Willen, Great Lindford and Stantonbury, these areas were 'contrasting' according to the Index of Multiple Deprivation (different scores for levels of deprivation).
Students completed primary fieldwork of each area including questionnaires and field sketches and then completed environmental quality surveys.
A great reflection of The Webber Independent School we were very pleased to hear that a member of the public had called Reception to comment on our students' exceptional behaviour and politeness!
Over the last week the students have been busy analysing their data and comparing their findings to that of secondary fieldwork data (The Index of Multiple Deprivation and the Census).
The students can then apply their knowledge from our field trip in their Paper 2 Geography Examination. The students look forward to exploring River Fieldwork in March.
