With so many new faces in the nursery, we have been playing a getting to know you game called bug in a rug.
In this game, one of our children hides under a cotton sheet and the teacher will give the rest of the group clues as to who it could be.
Clues could include "their name begins with S'" or "they have blonde hair" and the children have to guess who the 'bug in the rug' could be!
For our older children, the game is adapted so they are asked a series of questions about their hidden friend, such as "which letter does their name start with?" or "what colour are their eyes?".
As the child answers the questions, the rest of the group have to guess which friend they are talking about.
The game has been a huge success with our little learners and has helped them learn and remember the names and features of their new friends.
