Celebrating Our Exceptional 2025 GCSE Results and Inspiring Student Success Stories

Posted: 21st August 2025

Laughter, cheers and a few emotional tears filled our corridors this morning, as our Year 11 students reunited to celebrate their GCSE results. This year’s cohort has achieved an outstanding set of outcomes, reflecting both their hard work and the unwavering support of our teachers and families.

The Class of 2025 has excelled, with 45.7% of all grades at Grade 7 (A) or above — an achievement that stands out against national trends and showcases the exceptional dedication of our Webber community.

We are absolutely delighted that the determination, talent and resilience of our students — coupled with the dedication and skill of our teachers and support of our families — has been rewarded with such an exceptional set of results. Every single student should be immensely proud of their achievements. These grades are the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and a genuine love of learning, and today is a moment to celebrate their success. At Webber, we pride ourselves on being more than just a school that delivers strong academic outcomes — we are a community that nurtures each young person as an individual, giving them the confidence, curiosity and character to thrive in every aspect of life. This year’s Year 11 students have embodied those values in everything they have done, from their commitment to their studies to the way they have supported one another through challenges.

These results also reflect our specialised approach, where academic excellence goes hand in hand with character development, leadership skill and extra-curricular engagement. Many of the Class of 2025 balanced preparation for 10 or 11 GCSEs with leading school societies, representing our school in sport, music and drama, and contributing to community service projects.

This is not just about exam certificates. It’s about seeing our students grow into articulate, confident, compassionate young adults. The academic results are a reflection of their drive and potential — but equally important is the way they have supported one another, stepped into leadership roles, and engaged in the life of the school.

From high-flyers ready to take on the challenges of A Level study, to those who have overcome personal obstacles to achieve their own milestones, this year’s cohort has given us every reason to be proud. This year’s cohort will now progress to high-achieving and selective Sixth Forms, where they will take on a wide range of A Level and vocational courses, carrying with them the strong academic foundations, personal values, and confidence they have developed during their time at Webber.

We now look forward to watching this exceptional group of young people continue to discover their strengths, interests and talents as they take the next steps in their education.
