The Young Entrepreneurs ECA companies have worked hard this term to plan, market and facilitate 2 sales.
The ECA was so successful that we formed 2 companies made up of pupils in Years 6-8. Each company started off by thinking of ideas to raise money and what themes would be appropriate. They decided to do a Christmas themed sale at the end of November.
But it wasn’t all plain sailing and they were faced (like the rest of the country) with a few product supply issues!
Each team successfully completed market research to determine what products to sell and at which price point. They also had to come up with marketing campaigns to raise awareness, the pupils decided to do a poster campaign around school stating the time and date of the sales and what products would be available.
These were the most successful profit raising Young Entrepreneur sales ever - a total of £336.60. At our next meeting we will celebrate with a pizza reward and discuss what social enterprise projects to support. The students will as always review What When Well and Even Better If for next time.
All pupils involved did a fantastic job and worked really hard to make both sales a huge success! We definitely have a few Alan Sugars in the making!
