At The Webber Independent School, we believe that an independent education should offer genuine value: strong academic outcomes, a broad range of opportunities and an environment where pupils are known as individuals. 97–100% of GCSE grades at grades 4–9
Academic achievement matters.
At Webber, our Senior School has consistently achieved 97–100% of GCSE grades at grades 4–9 year on year, reflecting the academic progress of our pupils and the personalised approach taken by our teaching staff.
The wider picture also demonstrates why GCSE results remain an important consideration for families. According to the Independent Schools Council’s 2025 examination data, 29.3% of GCSE grades awarded in independent schools were grade 9, compared with 5.1% across all schools in England.
At Webber, however, we don’t believe that academic success should be reduced to a single statistic. Strong results are the outcome of years of teaching, support, encouragement and knowing how each individual pupil learns best. That is why our Senior School combines academic ambition with a highly personalised approach to learning.
Starting at just £1,168 a month
Independent education is a significant investment for any family, particularly at a time when household budgets are under increasing pressure. We therefore believe it is important to be transparent about what that investment provides.
Our current fee and care package starts at just £1,168 per month in Prep, including education, lunches and wraparound care from 7.30am to 6.00pm, with VAT included. Our fees can also be spread across 12 months through our monthly payment option.
This is particularly important when comparing schools on a like-for-like basis. The Independent Schools Council’s 2025 Census reported that the majority of independent day schools charged between £4,000 and £8,000 per term excluding VAT, while the average day-school fee increased by 1.8% between January 2024 and January 2025, excluding VAT.
At Webber, our approach is to combine the benefits of an independent education with a fee structure designed to provide families with as much value and flexibility as possible.
100+ clubs and activities
Education isn’t only about what happens during lessons.
At Webber, pupils have access to 100+ extra-curricular clubs and activities, giving them opportunities to discover new interests, develop skills and build confidence outside the classroom. Whether a pupil’s interests lie in sport, performing arts, technology, creativity, academic enrichment or something completely new, the breadth of our programme means there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
And that matters.
The Independent Schools Council’s 2026 Census reports that independent schools continue to provide a broad range of educational opportunities alongside the academic curriculum, while its research also records thousands of partnerships between independent and state schools across the UK. For us, enrichment is not an optional extra to education. It is part of helping young people develop the confidence, independence and wider skills they need beyond school.
From 6 Months to 16: One Continuous Webber Journey
At Webber, education can begin from as early as 6 months and continue all the way through to 16 years, with pupils able to progress from Little Webber Nursery through Prep School and into Senior School and GCSEs.
That continuity gives families the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with one school, while giving pupils the time and space to develop academically, socially and personally as they grow.
From those first experiences in Nursery, through the transition into Prep and then Senior School, our pupils are supported at every stage of their educational journey.
It also means that when the time comes for the next step – whether that is moving from Nursery into school, from Prep into Senior School or preparing for GCSEs – pupils are already part of a familiar community, with staff who know them and understand their individual strengths and needs.
