The end of a very challenging academic year has arrived and it seemed appropriate to reflect as we begin the summer break.
We are exceptionally PROUD of our young people for their tremendous resilience and attitude to learning this year. It has been a year like no other, but they carried on determined and driven, despite the many, many obstacles that lay in their path.
Our pupils have embraced every learning opportunity that they have been offered this year both in School and on Virtual Webber.
Our Seniors have put up with twice weekly lateral flow tests and worn face masks even on stiflingly hot days.
Our Juniors have sat alone in straight rows facing forward and have kept socially distant, resisting physical contact with their friends whose camaraderie and approval mean everything to them.
Pupils have been penned in their classrooms and restricted in the bubble system, they have been whizzed in and out of lunch, lined up endlessly and patiently to have their temperature taken each day and lathered themselves in oceans and oceans of hand sanitizer!
All this without complaint, all this without angst and pushback, they have endured, and they have excelled! And for this we thank and salute them all!
We know that we have been incredibly lucky that with the outstanding support of our young people, our engaged and involved parents and our exceptional Webber Team we have weathered this storm together and have come through the other side Stronger Together, Achieving Excellence Together.
We are delighted that we have been short listed for the Independent School of the Year for our Response to Covid, but what has been better than any award or accolade has been sitting through four Award Ceremonies this week and celebrating the Achievement, Progress and Endeavour that our young people have managed in the face of the toughest challenge of their young lives.
Well done all and congratulations to every single member of our wonderful Webber Family, pupils, parents and staff, you have weathered an extraordinary year showing resilience, growth and determination.
Wishing you all a lovely summer break, take time to relax, recharge and reconnect and we look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 6th September!
